What Is PrizePicks?
PrizePicks is a Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) platform that allows users to make predictions on individual player performances in various sports and eSports. Unlike traditional DFS platforms that rely on large-scale tournaments or team-based competitions, PrizePicks offers a player-prop format, focusing on the performance of individual athletes.
How PrizePicks Works
-
Pick Players and Props:
Users select between 2 to 6 players from a variety of sports and bet on whether their performance will go “Over” or “Under” a specific stat line. For example:- Will LeBron James score more than 25.5 points?
- Will a quarterback throw over 2.5 touchdowns in a game?
- Will a soccer player have under 4.5 shots on goal?
-
Create a Flex Play or Power Play:
- Flex Play: Offers lower payouts but allows you to win even if not all your predictions are correct.
- Power Play: All predictions must be correct, but it offers higher payouts.
-
Submit and Win:
Users can win payouts based on the accuracy of their picks. The more players and picks you include, the higher the potential payout, though the risk also increases.
Key Features of PrizePicks
-
Player-Focused Format:
Unlike team-based fantasy sports platforms, PrizePicks focuses entirely on individual player stats, simplifying the experience. -
Cross-Sport Entries:
Users can combine predictions across multiple sports in a single entry. For instance, you can include an NBA player and an MLB player in the same lineup. -
Wide Range of Sports:
PrizePicks covers most major sports leagues and even niche markets, including:- NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL
- College sports (basketball and football)
- Golf, Tennis, Cricket
- eSports like League of Legends, Call of Duty
-
No Competing Against Other Players:
PrizePicks is unique because you’re not competing against a pool of other users. Instead, your entries are scored against fixed player-stat projections. -
Beginner-Friendly Interface:
PrizePicks is easy to use, making it ideal for casual users who are less familiar with the complexities of traditional DFS.
